1 and a quarter done.

Fri Oct 16, 2009, 8:33 PM
Alright, I have a rough script written. Here's a few of the opening pages. Whole thing will be placed via myspace most likely.

Armageddon Rising: Pages 1-4
Written by Memphis Black

Ext. Graveyard

Alvis and Marisa are alone in a partial clearing atop a slight hill inside the graveyard scene. Place time of day between noon and two with a heavily overcastted sky. Marisa is chained to a large stone alter off to Alvis’ right. Candles are placed along the lower rim of the alter and possibly a few scattered paraphernalia along the top. All tomb stones seem aimed towards the center where Alvis and the alter are. Alvis is seen kneeling and praying in front of a small cauldron and two candles holding a small ceremonial dagger.

ANGLE on a wide shot of the unconscious Marisa and Alvis still praying. Her leg starts to move a bit.

Cut to Marisa as she starts to wake up. Her head moves slowly from right to left.

Marisa
(Groggily)
Wha… Where am… Where am I?

Alvis (O.S.)
Ah, you’re finally awake.

ANGLE to Alvis as he stands. He bows his head as he raises the dagger. Alvis drops his hands as he turns to Marisa.

Alvis
I would have hated for you to have
Missed such a joyous occasion.

CUT to a wide shot of Alvis and the end of the alter. TRACK WITH Alvis as he walks along the alter towards Marisa. He grins sinisterly as he passes her leg, sliding his hand along her leg.

Marisa
(Groggily)
Don’t touch me!
CUT to Marisa and Alvis, favoring an downward angle shot. Keep to an upper ¾ of her body. Marisa defiantly tugs at her <CLATTERING> chains to escape.

Alvis
You don’t like my touch?

Marisa
Only half as much as I would having my ovaries pulled
out through my back. Now tell me where I am, and get
your damn hand off of me.

ANGLE BACK to Alvis’ front with a wide enough angle to keep much of Marisa’s torso and legs in the shot. Alvis flips the blade around and begins to slide the edging along her inner thigh. Marisa’s struggling ceases.

Alvis
Perhaps you like the feel of this instead.

Marisa (O.S.)
(Nervously defiant)
What the hell are you doing?

CUT TO the dagger blade along her leg. TRACK it as he slides it along the skin and dress.

Alvis (O.S.)
Merely thinking of removing these gaudy dressings of yours.
I believe that we would have a much easier time with them
gone.

Marisa (O.S.)
(Nervous)
What the hell do you want from me?
CUT on Alvis staring at Marisa’s stomach. Alvis brushes against Marisa’s arm with his free hand as he smiles sinisterly. He begins to slide the blade up her outer thigh.

Alvis
(Coldly)
Why ruin the surprise when it will be far more entertaining for
you to not know. But I can assure you of one thing however,
once I and my master have secured what we want from you…

ANGLE TO Simone running through the graveyard towards them, as seen from over Alvis‘s head.

Alvis (O.S.)
(Coldly)
This world is what will truly be entrenched in fear. Once we
have that which makes you valuable, I will allow you to pass
on from this dead and decaying world. A quick death I promise
you, though painless I can not.

Marisa (O.S.)
(Nervous and defiant)
What the fuck are you talking about? That which makes me
Valuable, what the fuck is that? When I get out of here, I kicking
Your ass psycho.

CUT TO a closer profile-esque shot as she runs through the tombstones. TRACK her movements far enough to get approximately half of her body through the scene. Low audible <HUFFS> and <;PUFFS> as she runs

Alvis (O.S.)
(Coldly)
I fear not dear child. Your life will end here, in this place,
On this day.
ANGLE to an overhead shot of the hill with tight positioning on Alvis, the alter, and Simone. Simone begins to halt to a stop as she knocks her bow. She haphazardly points it towards Alvis.

Cut to Simone holding the Bow at the ready.

Simone
(Nervously)
All… Alright. Let the… her go. I won’t let you kill her… or summon… uh, to summon the gate.

CUT to Alvis looking at Simone bewildered.

Alvis
Are you serious, they sent you? Of all people to attempt to
Stop me, they send you? Are you even aware of why I want
This girl?

Simone (O.S)
To summon the gate, right?

Alvis points to the same spot he was praying at earlier. Marisa raises her head slightly to try and see Simone.

Alvis
Impudent child, I never intended to kill the girl in order
to summon Veska’s gate. Quite the contrary. Her blood
is needed for something of greater significance. But alas,
you are too late to save this girl, and surely to stop the
gates opening.

Angle back to the area Alvis was kneeling at. TRACK the gate as it rises and at it’s pinnacle rotate around to see Simone lose her resolve and lower her bow.

CUT BACK to Simone as her face goes flush.

Simone
Uh-oh…

Alvis (O.S)
Yes child, you are too late. Not only will this girl still
Die, but now the gate of Lady Veska has risen.

ANGLE to the side of the gate as Veska exit’s the gate.

You're welcome. Your husky is adorable. And that's a great picture of him/her.

Why be a stand in when you can stand out...
:icondistantplanetprod:
I like the part in "The Last Dragon" where Sho Nuff kicked the machine that was playing that chick's crappy video..."Shut Up B****!"
Just thought I'd share that with you...
:icond-o-alexander:
But at least the ni@@a wasn't catchin' bullets in his teeth. Dude, the piranha's man, why did this man have pet piranha's? Ain't no part of that seem too intelligent.

Look at it from the left... THEN it makes sense...

You know what, I looked at it from the left and it still seemed dumb, but off center seems kinda aight.

Thanks for all the comments!
BTW, GoW rocked my socks. Me and my gf at the time played 1 & 2 back-to-back, non-stop. I liked 1 better, storywise and play-wise, though 2 had some spectacular innovations. No doubt the GoW franchise changed the face of adventure platforming.

Played thru Mass Effect twice as well. I'd love more downloadable content. Still have to play as 100% paragon... It's just SO not in my nature!

...And good on ya for "The Last Dragon!"
He catches bullets? With his TEETH?!?!? LOL! Classic!

I agree, the second GoW wasn't the as good of a story as the first, but it was a great action game. Quite a few of the puzzles had me on lock for a good minute when I was playing it. So far I've gone through Mass Effect about four or five times. The 100% paragon didn't appeal to me as much as the 100% renegade. But lord knows unlocking the rifle specialty made all the other classes easier. Especially when I got the "never overheat" combo going. And let's face it, Taimak is king of 80's styled martial arts films. And he was only in the one so that tells you something.
